Chapter 38: Mārīca Instructs Rāvaṇa
Text 3.38.28
हृतदारान्सदारांश्च दश विद्रवतो दिशः।
हतशेषानशरणान्द्रक्ष्यसि त्वं निशाचरान्॥
hṛta-dārān sadārāṁś ca daśa vidravato diśaḥ
hata-śeṣān aśaraṇān drakṣyasi tvaṁ niśācarān
hṛta-dārān = [night-rangers] who have left their wives; sa-dārān = who are with their wives; ca = and; daśa = in the ten; vidravataḥ = fleeing; diśaḥ = directions; hata-śeṣān = surviving; aśaraṇān = with no one to protect them; drakṣyasi = will see; tvam = you; niśācarān = night-rangers.
You will see surviving night-rangers who are with their wives and [night-rangers] who have left their wives fleeing in the ten directions with no one to protect them.
