Chapter 38: Mārīca Instructs Rāvaṇa
Text 3.38.29
शरजालपरिक्षिप्तामग्निज्वालासमावृताम्।
प्रदग्धभवनां लङ्कां द्रक्ष्यसि त्वं न संशयः॥
śara-jāla-parikṣiptām agni-jvālā-samāvṛtām
pradagdha-bhavanāṁ laṅkāṁ drakṣyasi tvaṁ na saṁśayaḥ
śara-jāla-parikṣiptām = screened by a network of arrows; agni-jvālā-samāvṛtām = and surrounded by flames of fire; pradagdha-bhavanām = its houses entirely burnt up; laṅkām = Laṅkā; drakṣyasi = will see; tvam = you; na = no; saṁśayaḥ = doubt.
No doubt you will see Laṅkā screened by a network of arrows and surrounded by flames of fire, its houses entirely burnt up.
Having described the visible dangers that could come about, Mārīca next points out the invisible danger that could come about.
