Chapter 39: Mārīca Describes his Second Encounter with Lord Rāma

आसादयं तदा रामं तापसं धर्मचारिणम्।
वैदेहीं च महाभागां लक्ष्मणं च महारथम्॥
āsādayaṁ tadā rāmaṁ tāpasaṁ dharmacāriṇam
vaidehīṁ ca mahā-bhāgāṁ lakṣmaṇaṁ ca mahā-ratham
āsādayam = I came across; tadā = at that time; rāmam = Rāma; tāpasam = of the ascetics; dharmacāriṇam = who practiced the dharma; vaidehīm ca = Vaidehī; mahā-bhāgām = the greatly fortunate; lakṣmaṇam = Lakṣmaṇa; ca = and; mahā-ratham = the great chariot-fighter.
At that time I came across Rāma who practiced the dharma of the ascetics, the greatly fortunate Vaidehī and the great chariot-fighter Lakṣmaṇa.1
