Chapter 40: Rāvaṇa Criticizes Mārīca
Text 3.40.12
पञ्च रूपाणि राजानो धारयन्त्यमितौजसः।
अग्नेरिन्द्रस्य सोमस्य वरुणस्य यमस्य च॥
pañca rūpāṇi rājāno dhārayanty amitaujasaḥ
agner indrasya somasya varuṇasya yamasya ca
pañca = the five; rūpāṇi = features; rājānaḥ = kings; dhārayanti = exhibit; amita-ojasaḥ = of immeasurable prowess; agneḥ = of Agni; indrasya = Indra; somasya = Candra; varuṇasya = Varuṇa; yamasya = Yama; ca = and.
Kings of immeasurable prowess exhibit the five features of Agni, Indra, Candra, Varuṇa and Yama.1
