Chapter 42: Mārīca Becomes an Enchanting Deer
Text 3.42.8
प्रलोभयित्वा वैदेहीं यथेष्टं गन्तुमर्हसि।
तां शून्ये प्रसभं सीतामानयिष्यामि मैथिलीम्॥
pralobhayitvā vaidehīṁ yatheṣṭaṁ gantum arhasi
tāṁ śūnye prasabhaṁ sītām ānayiṣyāmi maithilīm
pralobhayitvā = captivate; vaidehīm = Vaidehī; yathā-iṣṭam = as you like; gantum = and wander about; arhasi = you should; tām = the; śūnye = when she is alone; prasabham = forcefully; sītām = Sītā; ānayiṣyāmi = I will bring; maithilīm = Princess of Mithilā.
You should captivate Vaidehī and wander about as you like. I will forcefully bring Sītā, the Princess of Mithilā, when she is alone.1
