Chapter 42: Mārīca Becomes an Enchanting Deer
Text 3.42.18

वैडूर्यसंकाशखुरस्तनुजङ्घः सुसंहतः।
इन्द्रायुधसवर्णेन पुच्छेनोर्ध्वं विराजता॥

vaiḍūrya-saṅkāśa-khuras tanu-jaṅghaḥ susaṁhataḥ
indrāyudha-savarṇena pucchenordhvaṁ virājatā

vaiḍūrya-saṅkāśa-khuraḥ = its hooves resembled the cat’s eye gem; tanu-jaṅghaḥ = its body and limbs; susaṁhataḥ = were well knit together; indra-āyudha-savarṇena = with many colors like a rainbow; pucchena ūrdhvam = the top of its tail; virājatā = shone.
