Chapter 42: Mārīca Becomes an Enchanting Deer
Text 3.42.22
कदलीगृहकं गत्वा कर्णिकारानितस्ततः।
समाश्रयन्मन्दगतिः सीतासन्दर्शनं तथा॥
kadalī-gṛhakaṁ gatvā karṇikārān itas tataḥ
samāśrayan manda-gatiḥ sītā-sandarśanaṁ tathā
kadalī-gṛhakam = a plantain garden house; gatvā = he went to; karṇikārān = and karṇikāra trees; itaḥ = here; tataḥ = and there; samāśrayan = reached a place from where; manda-gatiḥ = by slowly moving; sītā-sandarśanam = he could fully see Sītā-devī; tathā = and then.
He went to a plantain garden house and karṇikāra trees, and then by slowly moving here and there, reached a place from where he could fully see Sītā-devī.
