Chapter 46: Rāvaṇa Disguises Himself and Approaches Sītā
Text 3.46.29

इह शाखामृगाः सिंहा द्वीपिव्याघ्रमृगास्तथा।
ऋक्षास्तरक्षवः कङ्काः कथं तेभ्यो न बिभ्यसि॥

iha śākhā-mṛgāḥ siṁhā dvīpi-vyāghra-mṛgās tathā
ṛkṣās tarakṣavaḥ kaṅkāḥ kathaṁ tebhyo na bibhyasi

iha = here; śākhā-mṛgāḥ = there are monkeys; siṁhāḥ = lions; dvīpi-vyāghra-mṛgāḥ = young and old tigers, [wild] deer; tathā = and; ṛkṣāḥ = bears; tarakṣavaḥ = deer-eating large tigers; kaṅkāḥ  = herons; katham = how is it that; tebhyaḥ = of them; na = not; bibhyasi = you are afraid.

There are monkeys, lions, young and old tigers, [wild] deer, bears, deer-eating large tigers and herons here. How is it that you are not afraid of them?
