Chapter 47: Rāvaṇa Reveals his Identity to Sītā
Text 3.47.21
ते वयं प्रच्युता राज्यात्कैकेय्यास्तु कृते त्रयः।
विचराम द्विजश्रेष्ठ वनं गम्भीरमोजसा॥
te vayaṁ pracyutā rājyāt kaikeyyās tu kṛte trayaḥ
vicarāma dvija-śreṣṭha vanaṁ gambhīram ojasā
te vayam = we; pracyutāḥ = have been exiled; rājyāt = from the kingdom; kaikeyyāḥ tu = of Kaikeyī; kṛte = for the sake; trayaḥ = the three of us; vicarāma = roam; dvija-śreṣṭha = O best of the twice-born; vanam = forest; gambhīram = through the impenetrable; ojasā = forcefully 1.
We have been exiled from the kingdom for the sake of Kaikeyī. O best of the twice-born, the three of us forcefully roam through the impenetrable forest.
