Chapter 51: Jaṭāyu Fights with Rāvaṇa
Text 3.51.29
यथा त्वया कृतं कर्म भीरुणा लोकगर्हितम्।
तस्कराचरितो मार्गो नैष वीरनिषेवितः॥
yathā tvayā kṛtaṁ karma bhīruṇā loka-garhitam
taskarācarito mārgo naiṣa vīra-niṣevitaḥ
yathā = it resembles; tvayā = you; kṛtam = that have performed; karma = the activity; bhīruṇā = a coward; loka-garhitam = is condemned by the [entire] world; taskara-ācaritaḥ = trodden by thieves; mārgaḥ = the path; na = not; eṣaḥ = therefore, this [path taken by you]; vīra-niṣevitaḥ = is resorted to by heroes.
The activity that you, a coward, have performed is condemned by the [entire] world. It is resembles the path trodden by thieves. Therefore, this [path taken by you] is not resorted to by heroes.
