Chapter 58: Rāma Reaches His Āśrama in Anxiety
Text 3.58.14
श्रुतस्तु शङ्के वैदेह्या स स्वरः सदृशो मम।
त्रस्तया प्रेषितस्त्वं च द्रष्टुं मां शीघ्रमागतः॥
śrutas tu śaṅke vaidehyā sa svaraḥ sadṛśo mama
trastayā preṣitas tvaṁ ca draṣṭuṁ māṁ śīghram āgataḥ
śrutaḥ tu = has heard; śaṅke = I suspect; vaidehyā = that Vaidehī; saḥ = the; svaraḥ = voice; sadṛśaḥ = which was similar; mama = to Mine; trastayā = when she was in a state of panic; preṣitaḥ = because she has sent You; tvam = that You; ca = and; draṣṭum = to see; mām = Me; śīghram = quickly; āgataḥ = have come.
I suspect that Vaidehī has heard the voice which was similar to Mine and that You have quickly come to see Me because she has sent You when she was in a state of panic.
