Chapter 60: Rāma Searches for Sītā
Text 3.60.33

नूनं विक्षिप्यमाणौ तौ बाहू पल्लवकोमलौ।
भक्षितौ वेपमानाग्रौ सहस्ताभरणाङ्गदौ॥

nūnaṁ vikṣipyamāṇau tau bāhū pallava-komalau
bhakṣitau vepamānāgrau sahastābharaṇāṅgadau

nūnam = certainly; vikṣipyamāṇau = while she threw them about; tau = those; bāhū = arms [of hers]; pallava-komalau = those arms were as tender as the shoots [of a tree]; bhakṣitau = [the rākṣasas] would have eaten; vepamāna-agrau = with her trembling fingers; sahasta-ābharaṇa-aṅgadau = and decorated by bracelets and armlets.

[The rākṣasas] would certainly have eaten those arms [of hers] while she threw them about and while her fingers were trembling. Those arms were as tender as the shoots [of a tree] and decorated by bracelets and armlets.
