Text 3.64.11

निराशस्तु तया नद्या सीताया दर्शने कृतः।
उवाच रामः सौमित्रिं सीतादर्शनकर्शितः॥

nirāśas tu tayā nadyā sītāyā darśane kṛtaḥ
uvāca rāmaḥ saumitriṁ sītādarśana-karśitaḥ

nirāśaḥ tu = hopeless; tayā nadyā = the river; sītāyāḥ = Sītā-devī; darśane = about seeing; kṛtaḥ = made; uvāca = He then spoke [as follows]; rāmaḥ = Lord Rāma; saumitrim = to Sumitrā’s son; sītā-adarśana-karśitaḥ = emaciated upon not seeing Sītā.

The river made Lord Rāma hopeless about seeing Sītā-devī. Emaciated upon not seeing Sītā, He then spoke to Sumitrā’s son [as follows].
