Chapter 64: Rāma Discovers Some Clues About Sītā’s Whereabouts
Text 3.64.45
तरुणादित्य सङ्काशं वैडूर्यगुलिकाचितम्।
विशीर्णं पतितं भूमौ कवचं कस्य काञ्चनम्॥
taruṇāditya-saṅkāśaṁ vaiḍūrya-gulikā-citam
viśīrṇaṁ patitaṁ bhūmau kavacaṁ kasya kāñcanam
taruṇa-āditya-saṅkāśam = it resembles the young sun; vaiḍūrya-gulikā-citam = and is studded with vaiḍūrya gems; viśīrṇam = shattered; patitam = that has fallen; bhūmau = on the ground; kavacam = armor; kasya = whose; kāñcanam = is the golden.
Whose is the golden armor that has fallen on the ground, shattered? It resembles the young sun and is studded with vaiḍūrya gems.
