Canto 3 -
Araṇya-kāṇḍa
Chapter 66: Lakṣmaṇa Pacifies Śrī Rāma
Text 3.66.7

आश्वसिहि नरश्रेष्ठ प्राणिनः कस्य नापदः।
संस्पृशन्त्यग्निवद्राजन्क्षणेन व्यपयन्ति च॥

āśvasihi nara-śreṣṭha prāṇinaḥ kasya nāpadaḥ
saṁspṛśanty agnivad rājan kṣaṇena vyapayanti ca

āśvasihi = take heart; nara-śreṣṭha = O prince; prāṇinaḥ = living creature has; kasya = which; na = no; āpadaḥ = calamities; saṁspṛśanti = they touch; agnivat = like fire; rājan = O king; kṣaṇena = in a moment; vyapayanti = die down; ca = and.

O prince, take heart! Which living creature has no calamities? O king, they touch like fire and die down in a moment.

From the next verse, Śrī Lakṣmaṇa gives examples to prove that even other great personalities have attained divine prosperity and calamity.
