Chapter 66: Lakṣmaṇa Pacifies Śrī Rāma
Text 3.66.16
तत्त्वतो हि नरश्रेष्ठ बुद्ध्या समनुचिन्तय।
बुद्ध्या युक्ता महाप्राज्ञा विजानन्ति शुभाशुभे॥
tattvato hi nara-śreṣṭha buddhyā samanucintaya
buddhyā yuktā mahā-prājñā vijānanti śubhāśubhe
tattvataḥ hi = with Your undisturbed; nara-śreṣṭha = O prince; buddhyā = intelligence; samanucintaya = think about piety and impiety; buddhyā = intelligence about their present; yuktāḥ = use; mahā-prājñāḥ = the greatly learned; vijānanti = and understand; śubha-aśubhe = [the development of their] future piety and impiety.
O prince, think with Your undisturbed intelligence about piety and impiety. The greatly learned use their intelligence about their present and understand [the development of their] future piety and impiety.
