Chapter 67: Rāma Meets Jaṭāyu
Text 3.67.6-7

सन्तीह गिरिदुर्गाणि निर्दराः कन्दराणि च।
गुहाश्च विविधा घोरा नानामृगगणाकुलाः॥

आवासाः किन्नराणां च गन्धर्वभवनानि च।
तानि युक्तो मया सार्धं त्वमन्वेषितुमर्हसि॥

santīha giri-durgāṇi nirdarāḥ kandarāṇi ca
guhāś ca vividhā ghorā nānā-mṛga-gaṇākulāḥ

āvāsāḥ kinnarāṇāṁ ca gandharva-bhavanāni ca
tāni yukto mayā sārdhaṁ tvam anveṣitum arhasi

santi = are; iha = here in Janasthāna; giri-durgāṇi = impenetrable areas in the mountain; nirdarāḥ = broken rocks; kandarāṇi ca = chasms in rocks; guhāḥ = caverns; ca = and; vividhāḥ = they are of several varieties; ghorāḥ = and are terrible; nānā-mṛga-gaṇa-ākulāḥ = [because] they are abound with several beasts; āvāsāḥ = the abodes; kinnarāṇām = of the kinnaras; ca = also; gandharva-bhavanāni = the residences of the gandharvas are there; ca = and; tāni = those [places]; yuktaḥ = well-prepared; mayā = by Me; sārdham = and accompanied; tvam = You; anveṣitum = search; arhasi = should.

Here in Janasthāna are impenetrable areas in the mountain, broken rocks, chasms in rocks and caverns. They are of several varieties and are terrible [because] they are abound with several beasts. The abodes of the kinnaras and the residences of the gandharvas are there. Well-prepared and accompanied by Me, You should search those [places].
