Canto 3 -
Araṇya-kāṇḍa
Chapter 67: Rāma Meets Jaṭāyu
Text 3.67.8
त्वद्विधा बुद्धिसम्पन्ना महात्मानो नरर्षभ।
आपत्सु न प्रकम्पन्ते वायुवेगैरिवाचलाः॥
tvad-vidhā buddhi-sampannā mahātmāno nara-rṣabha
āpatsu na prakampante vāyu-vegair ivācalāḥ
tvat-vidhāḥ = like You; buddhi-sampannāḥ = intelligent; mahā-ātmānaḥ = and great souls; nara-ṛṣabhaḥ = O prince; āpatsu = during crises; na = not; prakampante = do shiver; vāyu-vegaiḥ = [that face] forceful winds; iva = [such souls are] like; acalāḥ = immovable mountains.
O prince, intelligent and great souls like You do not shiver during crises. [Such souls are] like immovable mountains [that face] forceful winds.
“Never shiver” indicates that the minds [of intelligent great souls] don’t become fickle [during crises].
