Chapter 67: Rāma Meets Jaṭāyu
Text 3.67.12
भक्षयित्वा विशालाक्षीमास्ते सीतां यथासुखम्।
एनं वधिष्ये दीप्तास्यैर्घोरैर्बाणैरजिह्मगैः॥
bhakṣayitvā viśālākṣīm āste sītāṁ yathā-sukham
enaṁ vadhiṣye dīptāsyair ghorair bāṇair ajihmagaiḥ
bhakṣayitvā = after eating up; viśāla-akṣīm = the wide-eyed; āste = he is resting; sītām = Sītā; yathā-sukham = comfortably; enam = him; vadhiṣye = I will kill; dīpta-āsyaiḥ = which are fitted with blazing heads; ghoraiḥ = with terrible; bāṇaiḥ = arrows; ajihmagaiḥ = and which fly straight [to their target].
He is comfortably resting after eating up the wide-eyed Sītā! I will kill him with terrible arrows which are fitted with blazing heads and which fly straight [to their target].
