Chapter 69: Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa Meet Kabandha
Text 3.69.34
स महाबाहुरत्यर्थं प्रसार्य विपुलौ भुजौ।
जग्राह सहितावेव राघवौ पीडयन्बलात्॥
sa mahā-bāhur atyarthaṁ prasārya vipulau bhujau
jagrāha sahitāv eva rāghavau pīḍayan balāt
saḥ = that; mahā-bāhuḥ = mighty-armed [Kabandha]; atyartham = to a great distance; prasārya = spread out; vipulau = his two long; bhujau = arms; jagrāha = and caught; sahitau eva = both of the; rāghavau = descendants of Raghu; pīḍayan = while squeezing [Them]; balāt = forcefully.
That mighty-armed [Kabandha] spread out his two long arms to a great distance and caught both of the descendants of Raghu while squeezing [Them] forcefully.
