Chapter 70: The Fall of Kabandha
Text 3.70.3
तच्छ्रुत्वा लक्ष्मणो वाक्यं प्राप्तकालं हितं तदा।
उवाचार्तिं समापन्नो विक्रमे कृतलक्षणः॥
tac chrutvā lakṣmaṇo vākyaṁ prāpta-kālaṁ hitaṁ tadā
uvācārtiṁ samāpanno vikrame kṛta-lakṣaṇaḥ
tat = those; śrutvā = upon hearing; lakṣmaṇaḥ = Lakṣmaṇa; vākyam = words; prāpta-kālam = that were appropriate to the time; hitam = of advice; tadā uvāca = spoke [the following]; ārtim = distressed; samāpannaḥ = who had become; vikrame = courageously; kṛta-lakṣaṇaḥ = and who endeavored.
Upon hearing those words of advice that were appropriate to the time, Lakṣmaṇa who had become distressed and who endeavored courageously spoke [the following].
