Chapter 64: Viśvāmitra Falls Prey to Anger
Text 1.64.9

कोकिलस्य तु शुश्राव वल्गु व्याहरतः स्वनम्।
सम्प्रहृष्टेन मनसा तत एनामुदैक्षत॥

kokilasya tu śuśrāva valgu vyāharataḥ svanam
samprahṛṣṭena
manasā tata enām udaikṣata

kokilasya tu = of the cuckoo; śuśrāva = he heard; valgu = the charming; vyāharataḥ svanam = sounds of the cooing; samprahṛṣṭena = delighted; manasā = his mind; tataḥ enām = then; udaikṣata = he saw Rambhā.

He heard the charming sounds of the cooing cuckoo. His mind delighted, he then saw Rambhā.

Viśvāmitra’s mind was delighted by hearing the cooing of the cuckoo.
