Chapter 3: Daśaratha Informs Rāma About his Decision
Text 2.3.19
दीर्घासिबद्धा योधाश्च सन्नद्धा मृष्टवाससः।
महाराजाङ्गणं सर्वे प्रविशन्तु महोदयम्॥
dīrghāsi-baddhā yodhāś ca sannaddhā mṛṣṭa-vāsasaḥ
mahā-rājāṅgaṇaṁ sarve praviśantu mahodayam
dīrgha-asi-baddhāḥ = equipped with long swords; yodhāḥ = warriors; ca = and; sannaddhāḥ = armored; mṛṣṭa-vāsasaḥ = wearing clean clothes; mahā-rāja-aṅgaṇam = the Mahārāja’s courtyard; sarve = all; praviśantu = should enter; mahā-udayam = where the great celebration [of Rāma’s coronation] will take place.
All warriors equipped with long swords, armored and wearing clean clothes should enter the Mahārāja’s courtyard where the great celebration [of Rāma’s coronation] will take place.
