कृतमित्येव चाब्रूतामभिगम्य जगत्पतिम्।
यथोक्तवचनं प्रीतौ हर्षयुक्तौ द्विजर्षभौ॥
kṛtam ity eva cābrūtām abhigamya jagat-patim
yathokta-vacanaṁ prītau harṣa-yuktau dvija-rṣabhau
kṛtam iti = [everything] has been carried out; eva ca = and; abrūtām = said; abhigamya = then approached; jagat-patim = the ruler of earth; yathā-ukta-vacanam = as per your instructions; prītau = with happiness; harṣa-yuktau = and delight; dvija-ṛṣabhau = the two best of the twice-born.
The two best of the twice-born then approached the ruler of earth and with happiness and delight said, “[Everything] has been carried out as per your instructions.”
The happiness referred to here is the happiness in the mind. The bodily transformations such as the standing of hairs on end, caused by the happiness in the mind, is referred to here as delight.
The previous verse states that the two brāhmaṇas informed Daśaratha of the remaining tasks at hand, but this verse states that they informed him that everything that he had ordered had been carried out. Thus, there is no redundancy here.
