Chapter 3: Daśaratha Informs Rāma About his Decision
Text 2.3.31
स तं कैलासशृङ्गाभं प्रासादं नरपुङ्गवः।
आरुरोह नृपं द्रष्टुं सह सूतेन राघवः॥
sa taṁ kailāsa-śṛṅgābhaṁ prāsādaṁ nara-puṅgavaḥ
āruroha nṛpaṁ draṣṭuṁ saha sūtena rāghavaḥ
saḥ = the; tam = to the; kailāsa-śṛṅga-ābham = that was brilliant like the peak of Kailāsa; prāsādam = palace; nara-puṅgavaḥ = Prince Rāma; āruroha = climbed [the stairs]; nṛpam = the king; draṣṭum = to see; saha = with; sūtena = the charioteer; rāghavaḥ = descendant of Raghu.
Prince Rāma, the descendant of Raghu, climbed [the stairs] with the charioteer to the palace that was brilliant like the peak of Kailāsa to see the king.
