Chapter 5: Vasiṣṭha Prepares Rāma for the Coronation
Text 2.5.20

प्रजालङ्कारभूतं च जनस्यानन्दवर्धनम्।
उत्सुकोऽभूज्जनो द्रष्टुं तमयोध्यामहोत्सवम्॥

prajālaṅkāra-bhūtaṁ ca janasyānanda-vardhanam
utsuko ’bhūj jano draṣṭuṁ tam ayodhyā-mahotsavam

prajā-alaṅkāra-bhūtam = it was abundantly decorated by the citizens; ca = and; janasya = of the people; ānanda-vardhanam = it increased the bliss; utsukaḥ = excited; abhūt = became; janaḥ = the people; draṣṭum = and wanted to see; tam = it; ayodhyā-mahā-utsavam = about the great celebration in Ayodhyā.

The people became excited about the great celebration in Ayodhyā and wanted to see it. It was abundantly decorated by the citizens and it increased the bliss of the people.

Prajālaṅkāra-bhūtam can also indicate that this great celebration caused them citizens to decorate [the great festivity in Ayodhyā].
