Chapter 5: Vasiṣṭha Prepares Rāma for the Coronation
Text 2.5.21

एवं तं जनसम्बाधं राजमार्गं पुरोहितः।
व्यूहन्निव जनौघं तं शनै राजकुलं ययौ॥

evaṁ taṁ jana-sambādhaṁ rāja-mārgaṁ purohitaḥ
vyūhann iva janaughaṁ taṁ śanai rāja-kulaṁ yayau

evam = thus; tam = the; jana-sambādham = to be crowded with people; rāja-mārgam = observing royal road; purohitaḥ = the priest; vyūhan iva = while trying to segregate; jana-ogham = crowds; tam = those; śanaiḥ = slowly; rāja-kulam = to the king’s home; yayau = went.

Observing the royal road to be thus crowded with people, the priest slowly went to the king’s home while trying to segregate those crowds.

The people were overcome with happiness on Rāma’s coronation.1
