तव दैवासुरे युद्धे सह राजर्षिभिः पतिः।
अगच्छत्त्वामुपादाय देवराजस्य साह्यकृत्॥
दिशमास्थाय वै देवि दक्षिणां दण्डकान्प्रति।
वैजयन्तमिति ख्यातं पुरं यत्र तिमिध्वजः॥
tava daivāsure yuddhe saha rāja-rṣibhiḥ patiḥ
agacchat tvām upādāya deva-rājasya sāhyakṛt
diśam āsthāya vai devi dakṣiṇāṁ daṇḍakān prati
vaijayantam iti khyātaṁ puraṁ yatra timidhvajaḥ
tava = your; daiva-asure = between the devas and asuras; yuddhe = during a war; saha = along with; rāja-ṛṣibhiḥ = saintly kings; patiḥ = husband; agacchat = proceeded; tvām = your; upādāya = and with support; deva-rājasya = the king of the devas; sāhyakṛt = assisted; diśam1 āsthāya vai = he reached and; devi = O queen; dakṣiṇām = the south; daṇḍakān = the Daṇḍaka forests; prati = towards; vaijayantam = Vaijayanta; iti = as; khyātam = famous; puram = to the city; yatra = where; timidhvajaḥ = resided.
O queen, during a war between the devas and asuras, your husband assisted the king of the devas. Along with saintly kings and with your support, he reached the south and proceeded towards the Daṇḍaka forests to the city famous as Vaijayanta where Timidhvaja resided.
