Chapter 9: Kaikeyī Convinced by Mantharā
Text 2.9.32
रामप्रव्राजनं चैव देवि याचस्व तं वरम्।
एवं सिध्यन्ति पुत्रस्य सर्वार्थास्तव भामिनि॥
rāma-pravrājanaṁ caiva devi yācasva taṁ varam
evaṁ sidhyanti putrasya sarvārthās tava bhāmini
rāma-pravrājanam = Rāma’s exile; ca eva = and Bharata’s coronation; devi = O queen; yācasva = ask; tam = him; varam = for the benedictions of; evam = thus; sidhyanti = will be accomplished; putrasya = son’s; sarva-arthāḥ = all of purposes; tava = your; bhāmini = beautiful lady.
O queen, ask him for the benedictions of Rāma’s exile and Bharata’s coronation. Beautiful lady, thus, all of your son’s purposes will be accomplished.
