Chapter 10: Daśaratha Meets Kaikeyī
Text 2.10.20
प्रतिहारी त्वथोवाच सन्त्रस्ता सुकृताञ्जलिः।
देव देवी भृशं क्रुद्धा क्रोधागारमभिद्रुता॥
pratihārī tv athovāca santrastā sukṛtāñjaliḥ
deva devī bhṛśaṁ kruddhā krodhāgāram abhidrutā
pratihārī tu atha = doorwoman; uvāca = and said; santrastā = the frightened; sukṛta-añjaliḥ = joined her palms in supplication tightly; deva = O king; devī = the queen; bhṛśam = is extremely; kruddhā = angry; krodha-āgāram = to the house of anger; abhidrutā = she has rushed.
The frightened doorwoman joined her palms in supplication tightly and said: “O king, the queen is extremely angry. She has rushed to the house of anger.”
