Chapter 10: Daśaratha Meets Kaikeyī
Text 2.10.30
भूमौ शेषे किमर्थं त्वं मयि कल्याणचेतसि।
भूतोपहतचित्तेव मम चित्तप्रमाथिनी॥
bhūmau śeṣe kim arthaṁ tvaṁ mayi kalyāṇa-cetasi
bhūtopahata-citteva mama citta-pramāthinī
bhūmau = on the ground; śeṣe = do lie; kim artham = why; tvam = you; mayi = while I; kalyāṇa-cetasi = with my auspicious mind am here; bhūta-upahata-cittā = a woman whose mind is seized by a piśāca; iva = like; mama = my; citta-pramāthinī = you confuse mind.
Why do you lie on the ground while I with my auspicious mind am here? You confuse my mind like a woman whose mind is seized by a piśāca!
