नास्मि विप्रकृता देव केनचिन्नावमानिता।
अभिप्रायस्तु मे कश्चित्तमिच्छामि त्वया कृतम्॥
nāsmi viprakṛtā deva kenacin nāvamānitā
abhiprāyas tu me kaścit tam icchāmi tvayā kṛtam
na = not; asmi = I am; viprakṛtā = hurt; deva = O king; kenacit na = nobody; avamānitā = has dishonored me; abhiprāyaḥ = desire; tu = but; me = I do have; kaścit = a certain; tam = that; icchāmi = I [now] desire; tvayā = you; kṛtam = which you have promised [me in the past].
I am not hurt, O king. Nobody has dishonored me. But I do have a certain desire. I [now] desire that which you have promised [me in the past].
1 The king had asked her in the previous chapter if she wanted anyone to be punished or favored. In response to that, Kaikeyī indicates that she wants him to fulfill a promise he had made to her earlier on. Of course, that promise involves punishing Rāmacandra by banishing Him and favoring Bharata by coronating Him.
“I am not hurt” indicates that Kaikeyī was not afflicted by [any] sickness. It should be understood that this also indicates that she was not desirous of any wealth. She speaks the second line of the verse while considering the king’s statements regarding punishing or favoring anyone.1
