Chapter 11: Kaikeyī Demands two Boons
Text 2.11.26
यो द्वितीयो वरो देव दत्तः प्रीतेन मे त्वया।
तदा दैवासुरे युद्धे तस्य कालोऽयमागतः॥
yo dvitīyo varo deva dattaḥ prītena me tvayā
tadā daivāsure yuddhe tasya kālo ’yam āgataḥ
yaḥ dvitīyaḥ = second; varaḥ = boon; deva = O king; dattaḥ = given; prītena = had lovingly; me = me; tvayā = that you; tadā = at the time; daiva-asure = between the devas and asuras; yuddhe = of the war; tasya = for the; kālaḥ = time; ayam = the; āgataḥ = has come.
“O king, the time has come for the second boon that you had lovingly given me at the time of the war between the devas and asuras.
