Chapter 12: Kaikeyī Reaffirms her Demands
Text 2.12.14
तदलं त्यज्यतामेष निश्चयः पापनिश्चये।
अपि ते चरणौ मूर्ध्ना स्पृशाम्येष प्रसीद मे॥
tad alaṁ tyajyatām eṣa niścayaḥ pāpa-niścaye
api te caraṇau mūrdhnā spṛśāmy eṣa prasīda me
tat = of this; alam = enough; tyajyatām = give up; eṣaḥ = this; niścayaḥ = decision; pāpa-niścaye = O lady with a sinful decision; api = should; te = your; caraṇau = feet; mūrdhnā = with my head; spṛśāmi eṣaḥ = I touch; prasīda = be pleased; me = with me.
O lady with a sinful decision, enough of this! Give up this decision. Should I touch your feet with my head? Be pleased with me.
