Canto 2 -
Ayodhyā-kāṇḍa
Chapter 12: Kaikeyī Reaffirms her Demands
Text 2.12.28

सान्त्वयन्सर्वभूतानि रामः शुद्धेन चेतसा।
गृह्णाति मनुजव्याघ्रः प्रियैर्विषयवासिनः॥

sāntvayan sarva-bhūtāni rāmaḥ śuddhena cetasā
gṛhṇāti manuja-vyāghraḥ priyair viṣaya-vāsinaḥ

sāntvayan = pacifying; sarva-bhūtāni = all creatures; rāmaḥ = Rāma; śuddhena = with his pure; cetasā = mind; gṛhṇāti = supports; manuja-vyāghraḥ = the tiger among men; priyaiḥ = by   granting them what they cherish; viṣaya-vāsinaḥ = all residents of the kingdom.

Pacifying all creatures with His pure mind, the tiger among men Rāma supports all residents of the kingdom by granting them what they cherish.

Daśaratha then points out to Kaikeyī that Rāma has more auspicious qualities to be exempted from being exiled. Therefore he states here that Rāma pleased the people with His speech, mind and body.
