मृते मयि गते रामे वनं मनुजपुङ्गवे।
इष्टे मम जने शेषे किं पापं प्रतिपत्स्यसे॥

mṛte mayi gate rāme vanaṁ manuja-puṅgave
iṣṭe mama jane śeṣe kiṁ pāpaṁ pratipatsyase

mṛte = am dead; mayi = when I; gate = has gone; rāme = Rāma; vanam = to the forest; manuja-puṅgave = and Prince; iṣṭe = dear; mama = to me; jane = people; śeṣe = upon the remaining; kim = what; pāpam = injustice; pratipatsyase = will you commit.

When I am dead and Prince Rāma has gone to the forest, what injustice will you commit upon the remaining people dear to me?
