Chapter 12: Kaikeyī Reaffirms her Demands
Text 2.12.93
मया रामेण च त्यक्तं शाश्वतं सत्कृतं गुणैः।
इक्ष्वाकुकुलमक्षोभ्यमाकुलं पालयिष्यसि॥
mayā rāmeṇa ca tyaktaṁ śāśvataṁ sat-kṛtaṁ guṇaiḥ
ikṣvāku-kulam akṣobhyam ākulaṁ pālayiṣyasi
mayā = by me; rāmeṇa = Rāma; ca = and; tyaktam = abandoned; śāśvatam = it has always; sat-kṛtam = been honored; guṇaiḥ = with auspicious qualities; ikṣvāku-kulam = dynasty of Ikṣvāku; akṣobhyam = and it has been hitherto undisturbed; ākulam = the disturbed; pālayiṣyasi = you will maintain.
You will maintain the disturbed dynasty of Ikṣvāku abandoned by me and Rāma. It has always been honored with auspicious qualities and it has been hitherto undisturbed.
