न जीवितं मेऽस्ति कुतः पुनः सुखं विनात्मजेनात्मवतः कुतो रतिः।
ममाहितं देवि न कर्तुमर्हसि स्पृशामि पादावपि ते प्रसीद मे॥
na jīvitaṁ me ’sti kutaḥ punaḥ sukhaṁ
vinātmajenātmavataḥ kuto ratiḥ
mamāhitaṁ devi na kartum arhasi
spṛśāmi pādāv api te prasīda me
na jīvitam me asti = I can’t even live; kutaḥ punaḥ = what to speak of; sukham = being happy; vinā = without; ātmajena = my son; ātmavataḥ = while I am alive; kutaḥ = and where is the question of; ratiḥ = love for you; mama = my; ahitam = damage me; devi = O queen; na = not; kartum arhasi = you should; spṛśāmi = I can touch; pādau = feet; api = even; te = your; prasīda = be pleased; me = with me.
Without my son, I can’t even live, what to speak of being happy and where is the question of my love for you? O queen, you should not damage me while I am alive. I can even touch your feet. Be pleased with me!
