Chapter 14: Daśaratha Grants Kaikeyī her two Boons
Text 2.14.54
उदतिष्ठत रामस्य समग्रमभिषेचनम्।
पौरजानपदैश्चापि नैगमैश्च कृताञ्जलिः॥
udatiṣṭhata rāmasya samagram abhiṣecanam
paura-jānapadaiś cāpi naigamaiś ca kṛtāñjaliḥ
udatiṣṭhata = is present; rāmasya = Rāma’s; samagram = everything; abhiṣecanam = required for coronation; paura-jānapadaiḥ = are the residents of the city and country; ca api = and so; naigamaiḥ = the trading class; ca = as well as; kṛta-añjaliḥ = all with their palms joined in supplication.
Everything required for Rāma’s coronation is present, and so are the residents of the city and country as well as the trading class, all with their palms joined in supplication.
In some manuscripts, upatiṣṭhati appears instead of udatiṣṭhata [with no change in meaning].
