Chapter 22: Rāma Instructs Lakṣmaṇa
Text 2.22.26
तस्मादपरितापः संस्त्वमप्यनुविधाय माम्।
प्रतिसंहारय क्षिप्रमाभिषेचनिकीं क्रियाम्॥
tasmād aparitāpaḥ saṁs tvam apy anuvidhāya mām
pratisaṁhāraya kṣipram ābhiṣecanikīṁ kriyām
tasmāt = therefore; aparitāpaḥ san = giving up Your distress; tvam = You; api = also; anuvidhāya mām = should do what I say; pratisaṁhāraya = stop; kṣipram = quickly; ābhiṣecanikīm = for My coronation; kriyām = the decoration and other preparations.
Therefore, giving up Your distress, You should also do what I say. Quickly stop the decoration and other preparations for My coronation.
“Therefore” means “because this is the truth.”
