Chapter 25: Kausalyā Invokes Auspiciousness for Rāma
Text 2.25.3
यं पालयसि धर्मं त्वं धृत्या च नियमेन च।
स वै राघवशार्दूल धर्मस्त्वामभिरक्षतु॥
yaṁ pālayasi dharmaṁ tvaṁ dhṛtyā ca niyamena ca
sa vai rāghava-śārdūla dharmas tvām abhirakṣatu
yam pālayasi dharmam = which unfailingly carry out; tvam = You; dhṛtyā ca = lovingly; niyamena ca = and lovingly; saḥ vai = that famous; rāghava-śārdūla = O tiger among the descendants of Raghu; dharmaḥ = dharma; tvām = You; abhirakṣatu = may protect everywhere.
O tiger among the descendants of Raghu, may that famous dharma, which You unfailingly, lovingly and fully carry out, protect You everywhere!
