Chapter 25: Kausalyā Invokes Auspiciousness for Rāma
Text 2.25.4
येभ्यः प्रणमसे पुत्र चैत्येष्वायतनेषु च।
ते च त्वामभिरक्षन्तु वने सह महर्षिभिः॥
yebhyaḥ praṇamase putra caityeṣv āyataneṣu ca
te ca tvām abhirakṣantu vane saha maha-rṣibhiḥ
yebhyaḥ = whom; praṇamase = You offer obeisances; putra = son; caityeṣu = in the crossroads; āyataneṣu = in their temples; ca = and; te ca = those devas; tvām = You; abhirakṣantu = may protect; vane = in the forest; saha maha-rṣibhiḥ = as well as the great sages.
Son, may those devas whom You offer obeisances in the crossroads and in their temples as well as the great sages protect You in the forest!
