Chapter 25: Kausalyā Invokes Auspiciousness for Rāma
Text 2.25.22

स्वस्ति तेऽस्त्वान्तरिक्षेभ्यः पार्थिवेभ्यः पुनः पुनः।
सर्वेभ्यश्चैव देवेभ्यो ये च ते परिपन्थिनः॥

svasti te ’stv āntarikṣebhyaḥ pārthivebhyaḥ punaḥ punaḥ
sarvebhyaś caiva devebhyo ye ca te paripanthinaḥ

svasti = safety; te = for You; astu = may there be; āntarikṣebhyaḥ = those traveling in the sky; pārthivebhyaḥ punaḥ punaḥ = kings on earth; sarvebhyaḥ ca eva = from all; devebhyaḥ = devas; ye = who; ca = and; te = those; paripanthinaḥ = oppose You.

May there be safety for You from all those traveling in the sky, kings on earth, devas and those who oppose You!

GLOSS. [Kausalyā prayed for the safety of Rāma] from thunderstorms, earthquakes and so on. She invoked the protection of Śukra and so on [upon Rāma].
