Chapter 25: Kausalyā Invokes Auspiciousness for Rāma
Text 2.25.24

अग्निर्वायुस्तथा धूमो मन्त्राश्चर्षिमुखाच्च्युताः।
उपस्पर्शनकाले तु पान्तु त्वां रघुनन्दन॥

agnir vāyus tathā dhūmo mantrāś carṣi-mukhāc cyutāḥ
upasparśana-kāle tu pāntu tvāṁ raghu-nandana

agniḥ = Agni; vāyuḥ tathā = Vāyu; dhūmaḥ = the deity of smoke; mantrāḥ = the audible mantras; ca = and; ṛṣi-mukhāt = from the mouths of the sages; cyutāḥ = emanating; upasparśana-kāle tu = at the time of Your bath; pāntu = may protect; tvām = You; raghu-nandana = O beloved child of the Raghus.

O beloved child of the Raghus, at the time of Your bath, may Agni, Vāyu, the deity of smoke and the audible mantras emanating from the mouths of the sages protect You!
