Chapter 25: Kausalyā Invokes Auspiciousness for Rāma
Text 2.25.30

मधुदध्यक्षतघृतैः स्वस्ति वाच्य द्विजांस्ततः।
वाचयामास रामस्य वने स्वस्त्ययनक्रियाः॥

madhu-dadhy-akṣata-ghṛtaiḥ svasti vācya dvijāṁs tataḥ
vācayām āsa rāmasya vane svasty-ayana-kriyāḥ

madhu-dadhi-akṣata-ghṛtaiḥ = with honey, yoghurt, unbroken grains and ghee; svasti = auspicious benedictions; vācya = she had recite; dvijān = the twice-born men; tataḥ = and then; vācayām āsa = had them recite; rāmasya = for Rāma; vane = in the forest; svastyayana-kriyāḥ = mantras for invoking auspiciousness.

She had the twice-born men recite auspicious benedictions with honey, yoghurt, unbroken grains and ghee, and then had them recite mantras for invoking auspiciousness for Rāma in the forest.

She had the twice-born recite the puṇyāha-vācana.1
