Chapter 25: Kausalyā Invokes Auspiciousness for Rāma
Text 2.25.43
भद्रासनगतं राम वनवासादिहागतम्।
द्रक्ष्यामि च पुनस्त्वां तु तीर्णवन्तं पितुर्वचः॥
bhadrāsana-gataṁ rāma vana-vāsād ihāgatam
drakṣyāmi ca punas tvāṁ tu tīrṇavantaṁ pitur vacaḥ
bhadra-āsana-gatam = and then sit on the throne; rāma = Rāma; vana-vāsāt = from Your residence in the forest; iha = here; āgatam1 drakṣyāmi ca = I will see; punaḥ = return; tvām tu = You; tīrṇavantam = fulfill; pituḥ = Your father’s; vacaḥ = instructions.
“Rāma, I will see You fulfill Your father’s instructions, return from Your residence in the forest and then sit on the throne here.
