इतीव चाश्रुप्रतिपूर्णलोचना समाप्य च स्वस्त्ययनं यथाविधि।
प्रदक्षिणं चैव चकार राघवं पुनः पुनश्चापि निपीड्य सस्वजे॥
itīva cāśru-pratipūrṇa-locanā
samāpya ca svasty-ayanaṁ yathā-vidhi
pradakṣiṇaṁ caiva cakāra rāghavaṁ
punaḥ punaś cāpi nipīḍya sasvaje
iti iva ca = having externally spoken these words; aśru-pratipūrṇa-locanā = with her eyes brimming with tears; samāpya ca = she completed; svastyayanam = her benediction of auspiciousness; yathā-vidhi = as per the scriptural rules; pradakṣiṇam ca eva cakāra1 = she then favorably cared for; rāghavam = Rāghava; punaḥ punaḥ = repeatedly; ca api = and then; nipīḍya = by holding Him tight; sasvaje = embraced Him.
Having externally spoken these words, she completed her benediction of auspiciousness as per the scriptural rules with her eyes brimming with tears. She then favorably cared for Rāghava by holding Him tight and then embraced Him repeatedly.1
