Canto 2 -
Ayodhyā-kāṇḍa
Chapter 27: Sītā Requests Rāma to Take Her to the Forest
Text 2.27.12

सुखं वने निवत्स्यामि यथैव भवने पितुः।
अचिन्तयन्ती त्रीँल्लोकांश्चिन्तयन्ती पतिव्रतम्॥

sukhaṁ vane nivatsyāmi yathaiva bhavane pituḥ
acintayantī trīnl lokāṁś cintayantī pati-vratam

sukham = happily; vane = in the forest; nivatsyāmi = I will reside; yathā eva = as if; bhavane = [I were] in house; pituḥ = my father’s; acintayantī = I don’t care; trīn lokān = for the opulences of the three worlds; cintayantī = I [only] care; pati-vratam = for my service to my husband.

I will happily reside in the forest, as if [I were] in my father’s house. I do not care for even the opulences of the three worlds. I [only] care for my service to my husband.
