Chapter 27: Sītā Requests Rāma to Take Her to the Forest
Text 2.27.15
सह त्वया गमिष्यामि वनमद्य न संशयः।
नाहं शक्या महाभाग निवर्तयितुमुद्यता॥
saha tvayā gamiṣyāmi vanam adya na saṁśayaḥ
nāhaṁ śakyā mahā-bhāga nivartayitum udyatā
saha = with; tvayā = You; gamiṣyāmi = I am going; vanam = to the forest; adya = today; na saṁśayaḥ = let there be no doubt about it; na aham1 śakyā = [and] You cannot; mahā-bhāga = O greatly fortunate one; nivartayitum = stop me; udyatā = I am eager to go [with You].
I am going with You to the forest today. Let there be no doubt about it. O greatly fortunate one, I am eager to go [with You and] You cannot stop me.
