अनन्यभावामनुरक्तचेतसं त्वया वियुक्तां मरणाय निश्चिताम्।
नयस्व मां साधु कुरुष्व याचनां न ते मयातो गुरुता भविष्यति॥
ananya-bhāvām anurakta-cetasaṁ
tvayā viyuktāṁ maraṇāya niścitām
nayasva māṁ sādhu kuruṣva yācanāṁ
na te mayāto gurutā bhaviṣyati
ananya-bhāvām = I have no concern for anything apart [from serving You]; anurakta-cetasam = my mind is attached to You; tvayā = from You; viyuktām = if I am separated; maraṇāya = to die; niścitām = I have resolved; nayasva = take; mām = me [with You]; sādhu kuruṣva = fulfill; yācanām = my prayer; na = not; te mayā ataḥ = by me following You; gurutā bhaviṣyati = You will be burdened.
Take me [with You]. I have no concern for anything apart [from serving You]. My mind is attached to You. I have resolved to die if I am separated from You. Fulfill my prayer. You will not be burdened by me following You.
[Here] she says both directly and indirectly that she is attached to Him.
The deeper meaning of this verse is: “Though I will be taken by Rāvaṇa, my mind will only be attached to You. Therefore, I will be determined to die, unbraiding my hair while leaving only a single plait. Take me with you then by sending Hanumān and so on. Properly fulfill the prayers submitted to You by the devas to kill Rāvaṇa.”
